Welcome to our Summer 2016 Interns!

by |

It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we welcome our Summer 2016 interns!

Please meet Aaron Millet, Alana Carey and Seth Lunn. Representing three Vermont colleges and universities, including Champlain College, The University of Vermont (UVM) and Vermont Technical College (VTC), they bring unique skills and experience to C2.

This year’s team of interns will be with us through mid-August and they’re already busy at work. Each has an assigned mentor to help them navigate through hands-on application, individual/team projects and an overall experience of C2’s entrepreneurial culture. They’ll be put to work on projects related to their degree programs and interests, including software development, quality assurance, systems engineering, sales, event planning and marketing.

Aaron joins us for his second summer as a Software Development intern. As someone who admits to having too many hobbies, his interests in computers, electronics, technology, and science allow him to dive head first into various projects. When he’s not busy learning modern web development, implementing website features for clients or developing and building a telecommuter robot from scratch, he is studying Game Programming at Champlain College.

Alana joins as Marketing and Sales intern. Described by her peers as passionate, hardworking and bubbly, it was no surprise that she hit the ground running on day one and been busily working on a variety of projects from sales prospecting to social media and PR to event planning. At the University of Vermont, she majors in Global Marketing Business Administration with minors in Political Science and Computer Science. Originally from a small farm in Central Florida, she loves exploring Vermont and is often distracted by the stunning views at C2. (Come visit and see for yourself!)

Seth is a Software Development intern who studies Software Engineering at Vermont Technical College. He is currently working on integrating a software platform for B2B eCommerce. In his free time, he likes to hike and ski.

Our interns attest that they enjoy being treated as employees and the open door policy that is found throughout the office. Much more than an extra set of hands – we very much appreciate the novel perspectives and fresh ideas they bring.

As a member of the local community, C2 believes hiring interns is an investment in the future workforce of Vermont. Internships help students gain experience, develop professional skills, make connections, strengthen their resumes and learn about the local job market. This fine group of students represents the future for tech, Vermont and C2 and we’re thankful they’ve chosen to spend their summers with us.

Welcome to the team!
