We are excited to announce that Doug Castle has joined our team as a Senior Database Administrator.

Doug got his start in the tech industry after spending the first part of his career soaring to great heights in a different field – in fact, he worked as an airline pilot! When it was time for a career change, he remembered he’d always enjoyed computer science, so he decided to go back to school to study software engineering.

After earning his computer science certificate, Doug gained extensive professional experience in software analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. He brings more than 20 years of expertise as a software engineer to his new role. He’s excited to help our clients solve their tech-related business challenges.

“I am looking forward to working with C2’s customers and helping them keep their SQL server systems healthy,” Doug says. “I am very good at problem-solving technology issues.”

Before coming to C2, Doug worked for 13 years as a staff software engineer and technical lead at GE Healthcare. In this role, he served as the lead software engineer on a regulated enterprise application in the health care field and assisted developers with Microsoft SQL server issues and questions. He also worked for 15 years as a software engineer at GE, where he was one of the lead medical software designers.

Doug’s professional strengths include proficiency in a variety of platforms and languages, teamwork and collaboration, and analysis and debugging of software issues. When Doug isn’t at his desk, he enjoys playing golf, reading and going camping with his wife.
