Finding Data-Driven Business Solutions: Splunk .conf18

by |

For tech pros, .conf18 was the place to be this October. Nearly 10,000 security and IT leaders gathered at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida, for four days of education, networking, and a whole lot of fun. The annual event is hosted by Splunk, a San Francisco-based software corporation focused on searching, monitoring, and analyzing machine-generated big data.

As always, .conf included the latest news and innovations at Splunk, including solutions that help businesses stay competitive and meet customer demands. Splunk aims to help companies harness the power of their data. This year’s conference featured hundreds of sessions intended to increase awareness of the latest Splunk products and apps that leverage data to solve business challenges.

Attendees also had the opportunity to attend live, hands-on pre-conference educational training programs and technical classes via Splunk University. Classes included app development, data administration and science, Splunk fundamentals, and intensive training for administrators and power users.

Keynote speakers included Doug Merritt, Splunk president, and CEO, and Tim Tully, Splunk senior vice president, and chief technology officer, who discussed how the company uses machine data to help organizations re-imagine IT, security, and business analytics. Apple co-founder and Silicon Valley icon Steve Wozniak also took part in a Q&A with a packed crowd.

As a tech services company dedicated to helping businesses grow and increase competitiveness, C2 was excited to take part in this event. We are always thrilled to gain fresh ideas to help businesses thrive in a digital world, and Splunk’s .conf is an exciting way to stay on top of cutting-edge innovations. We look forward to next year’s event!
