C2 is happy to announce two new additions to our Enterprise Systems Group (pictured above L-R), Taylor Schneider and Scott Hanrahan. Both joined us at the end of June, and they’re already making a terrific contribution.

Taylor comes to us as a Systems Technician focused on Desktop Support and Managed Services. Taylor is a Class of 2017 graduate of St. Michael’s College and holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. In addition to his studies, throughout his academic career Taylor worked at the St. Mike’s Office of Information Technology’s Helpdesk. For two years, he was a lead technician. We’re sure he put both his technical and psychology skills to good use, as he helped students, faculty and staff with any and all tech issues that arose. Taylor was also responsible for training students who joined the IT department, and, during his summers, he worked on other campus IT initiatives.

Scott has joined our engineering team as a Network Engineer, with a focus on networking, Cisco and Splunk. Beginning his career in Vermont Country Store’s data room, Scott comes to us after having worked for the past seven years at Vertek Corporation. In his capacity as Provisioning Engineer, Scott maintained networks for multiple corporate accounts, and his many duties ran the gamut of end-to-end network implementation: He planned customers’ networks and designed & ordered Layer 3 MPLS voice and data solutions. He configured provider routers that were then sent to customers’ remote sites. And he was overseeing and maintaining the networks once installed, troubleshooting any issues along the way.

Through the entire process, Scott acted as the customers’ main technical point of contact. Additionally, Scott served as the firm’s main training engineer for new employees. Neither task should come as a surprise, since his expertise isn’t limited to computer networks: He also knows how humans best network, too, having graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Business, with a concentration on Human Resource Management.

We know that both Scott and Taylor are going to be valuable assets to C2, and we look forward to working with them.
