C2’s Environmental Responsibility
C2 understands that making environmentally-preferred choices in the workplace has a direct impact on the well-being of Vermonters and the rest of the world. To do our part, we have established relationships with a few environmentally conscious organizations in order to receive education and support. Below are some of the changes our employees have made in support of environmental responsibility.
Lighting Improvements
Through Efficiency Vermont's Lighting Plus Initiative, C2 is replacing all of the ballasts and bulbs on our floors. Energy savings alone are enough to power four average U.S. homes per year.
Paper Improvements
C2 prints enough paper per year to cover 3.5 football fields, including the end zones!! C2 is now printing on 100% post-consumer recycled paper. As a result, no trees are felled to supply our paper, saving 150 trees per year. Many other pollutants are also greatly reduced from manufacturing this paper. Efforts in educating employees on reduction of paper use and duplex printing are underway.
Environmentally Preferred Products (EPP) Policy
C2 considers environmentally-preferred products when purchasing anything from paper to monitors.
Container Recycling
C2 recycles plastic and paper containers, soda cans, and other materials where appropriate.
Server and Desktop Virtualization
C2 is marching down the path of server and desktop virtualization to safeguard our data, simplify and reduce the time to provision servers and desktops, and reduce overall power consumption.
